All namaste from Kathmandu from the Dhaulagiri group! Today, all participants of the expedition to Dhaulagiri gathered in the capital of Nepal. Each participant of our expedition has already visited Kathmandu several times and managed to climb several eight-thousand meters. Everyone has 3-5 8000+ vertices behind their backs. Having more experience, we all had a good rest from the flights today and went to our favorite Mezze in the evening. Then Nims (with whom we have repeatedly crossed paths on different 8000) invited us to a nearby Penthouse bar, where we tasted a set of "14 eight-thousanders" and tried to find our own Dhaulagiri.  A serious mountain 😊

Tomorrow we get permits, perform the most important ritual for good luck (try to guess which one) and visit Pashupatinath at sunset.

Namaste from Nepal!  The Himalayan Fox Cubs group has started an active part of the program.  Today we went from Lukla to Chukung. Spring blooming rhododendrons, pleasant mountain streams pleased the eye, helped to walk easily and naturally on the trek.  The guides of the group are Andrey Berezin and Sergey Avtomonov.

Today, the team of the 7 Summits Club "Everest-24" under the leadership of Alexander Abramov flew to Lukla. We flew by helicopters over the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas. We moved from Lukla amicably and cheerfully walking to Phacking. We settled in the best local loggia.

In the evening there was a lecture on medicine, which was conducted by our doctor Andrey Selivanov. Also today, a team of 6 people has been formed who will participate in the Everchess competitions. This is a record-breaking international chess tournament on Everest, the final will be held on May 8. In the meantime, we are practicing.

News from April 13 from the Everest climbing group of the 8000 Club team. All participants arrived in Kathmandu. Today we had an excursion and educational day, we visited interesting places of the city. Then we checked the equipment and are already preparing for tomorrow's flight to Lukla.

Today we met the entire Everest climbing team. We checked the equipment. And in the evening we had a great party together with the Mera Peak team. In total, 40 participants of the expeditions of the 7 Summits Club gathered together.

Namaste from Nepal! Our Nepali spring season is starting! The group "Himalayan fox cubs" goes to the Mera Peak. Today we are all gathered in Kathmandu, at the Yak and yeti Hotel. Kathmandu is a place of meeting of friends. Today I met an old friend of the American guide Vern Tejas. We agreed to go to Denali together. Then we met the guide Andrey Erokhin with the Mera Peak group. And my friend, Dr. Myasnikov, is going with him.

Today, guides walk around the city and remember the places of their youth. And tomorrow the first group of Everest climbers arrives.

The team of guides of the Everest expeditions has arrived in Kathmandu. Today there was a significant event. We have received permits for Everest climb.

Now we are waiting for the participants of the Everest expeditions. The first of them arrive on April 12th.

 Message from RD Studio: The date of premiere of the film "The High-Altitude Gene 2. The Mountain of all Mountains" has been set. 

The premiere will take place on June 5 – in the birthday of Valdis Pelsh (head of RD Studio). It was on this day in 2017 that the premiere of the first part of "The High-Altitude Gene, or how to get to Mount Everest" took place. We decided not to break the tradition.

 The film tells about the successes and failures of the members of the expedition of the 7 Summits Club during the assault on the K2 peak in 2023. The film about the ascent of Mount Everest "The High-Altitude Gene", released in 2017, was shown on Russia's main television channel and collected more than 5 million views on the Internet.

Alla Mishina from Moscow and Sergey Seliverstov from Bishkek flew to Nepal today. This deuce goes on a new route for the 7 Summits Club to the southernmost corner of Nepal - Kanchenjunga.

 Meanwhile, two leaders of the Everest expeditions, Alexander Abramov and Viktor Volodin, as well as Dr. Andrey Selivanov, are meaningfully spending a transfer day in Istanbul.  They are also on their way to Nepal.

At 11 pm Moscow time, our friends from the Transglobal Car Expedition arrived at the North Pole. This is a significant milestone in their incredible journey. There are still many challenges, worries, and problems ahead, but we can take a moment to celebrate! We congratulate our friends and are proud to call them our friends. A few days remain before the start of the expedition of the 7 Summits Club on Dhaulagiri - 8167m, the seventh highest peak in the World. The expedition participants are some of the most experienced Russian high-altitude climbers.

There are only a few days left before the start of our Everest 2024 expeditions. Sherpa teams are busy preparing the route, setting up the base camp. And future climbers are going on a long journey, completing work and family affairs. Today, on March 31, the Double group of the 7 Summits Club with a guide Viktor Volodin climbed the summit of Mount Elbrus 5642m - the highest point in Europe!

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Viktor Volodin reports from the Elbrus region:

Yesterday, the "Double" group of the 7 Summits Club rode a cable car to Garabashi station. We settled in the refuge and after lunch moved towards Refuge of Eleven for the acclimatization. The weather was good, and the participants feel great.

Today, the Double group went on an acclimatization rotation to the Pastukhov Rocks early in the morning. The weather stopped delighting us in the middle of the day, the wind rose, the sun went out, but this did not prevent it from carrying out our plans. Everything is going according to plan, we feel good.

 On March 28, the staff and friends of the 7 Summits Club and the 8000 Club summed up the results of the last season at the Winter 2024 After Party. We talked about our achievements over the past six months in Antarctica and South America. Those who closed the "Seven Psummits" and "Seven Volcanoes" programs over the past year were awarded.

And then we met the onset of a new season of climbing and trekking. Our climbing teams on Everest (two groups), Dhaulagiri, Lhotse and Kanchenjunga were solemnly conducted! Thanks to everyone who came and shared this little holiday with us!

 Hello to the 7 Summits Club! A ski-touring expedition to Asia's highest volcano, Mount Demavend, has ended. The weather has repelled our attempt at climbing, but we will be back. The team is already going home today. Yesterday we spent time on tours of Tehran, mostly wandering around the Grand Bazaar. And in the evening, at a gala dinner, we celebrated our successes and gained invaluable experience.

Greetings to all from the Elbrus region!  The "Double" group arrived in Terskol late last night, had dinner, settled in. This morning, we checked the participants' equipment according to the list and went out to acclimatize to the Devichy Kosy waterfall. So everything is according to plan, the weather is fine, we feel good.

 Greetings from Iran from the ski-tour team of on Demavend! Today was the most important day of our trip - we went out early in the morning to storm the summit. The weather forecast showed some kind of small window with a decrease in wind strength. So it was, but only for an hour. And then the storm started. They retreated at about an altitude of 5150m. There is a reserve day tomorrow, but perhaps not - the wind is 95km/h in the forecast. But none of the participants were upset, it was interesting and there is a reason to return.
